The Relation Between Need Analysis and Instructional Material Development

Need analysis has important role in developing instructional material, because it is a systematic process for determining and addressing needs, or "gaps" between current conditions and desired conditions or "wants".  It is a part of planning process and it can be an effective way to identify the problem in teaching learning process.
Developing new materials and instructional program is needed to encode students’ skill by analyzing their needs first. By analyzing the students’ need, it make us easier to conduct the instructional, because we give limitation for the materials to focus on what actually the students’ need and interest to be learnt, and achieve the indicator in curriculum. The material shoud be matched closely to the objectives and the instructions in learning process, determining the instructions to be presented to the students is accomplished through selection process and then manage all them for getting great instructions. When the materials have been valid, the teaching prosess is ready for implementation.
